Tour Description
Day 1 – From Roman Monuments to the Sahara
Early morning private pick-up from your hotel.
The journey begins with a visit to El Djem Amphitheatre, one of the largest and best-preserved Roman
monuments in the world (entrance not included).
Continue toward Matmata, exploring the old Berber village, welcome sign, and a traditional underground
troglodyte house. Photo stop at Hotel Sidi Idriss, famous from Star Wars filming.
In the afternoon, arrival in Douz, known as the Gateway to the Sahara. Optional camel ride or quad
biking can be arranged (paid on site).
Check-in at hotel or desert camp in the Sahara region.
Day 2 – Oases, Desert Adventure & Holy City
After breakfast, the journey continues across Chott El Jerid, Tunisia’s vast salt lake, with photo stops
along the way.
Arrival in Tozeur, the capital of the southern oases, followed by an optional 4×4 Jeep Safari through the
desert to Ong Jmel (Camel’s Neck) and famous Star Wars filming locations.
Next, visit the mountain oasis of Chebika, with its natural springs and panoramic desert views.
On the return north, stop in Kairouan, Tunisia’s first Islamic city and one of the most important religious
centers in North Africa, including a visit to the Great Mosque of Kairouan (UNESCO World Heritage Site).
Return to your hotel in the evening.
